A guide to: Coffee on the King’s Road

A guide to: Coffee on the King’s Road

From 9 March, we will be able to enjoy a walk, talk and a coffee with our friends which means a quick pit stop (for two) for a takeaway coffee, croissants or a cup of tea are definitely on the menu.

Hagen

King’s Road favourite (and only) Danish espresso bar, Hagen, is ready and waiting to caffeinate your next jaunt around Chelsea. Serving up freshly roasted coffee and hygge hospitality from their slim-line coffee house at 151 King’s Road, they were even name-checked as “the best coffee I have ever had” by KOBOX personal trainer and model, Toby Huntington-Whiteley in a recent interview. High praise indeed!

Redemption Roasters

Coffee with a conscience. Redemption Roasters don’t just believe in the power of a great cup of coffee, but in the power of social justice. Supporting those with a history of imprisonment to transition back into employment, all coffee is made in their roastery in HMP The Mount. They’re now open in their pop-up warehouse in the heart of Chelsea from Monday to Friday between 8am-4pm, and 9-5pm on weekends.

Gail’s

Head to Gail’s for a coffee and a side of something delicious. After a lockdown refurb, this Chelsea favourite is open and baking for takeaway, click & collect and home delivery. We’ll be grabbing a delicious savoury croissant to fuel our 10,000 steps.

Vardo

Take a wander through Duke of York Square and enjoy a quick pit stop at Vardo. Serving speciality craft coffee, the team use beans from their own roastery in Islington. Committed to provenance and fair-trade practices, the world’s best beans from ethical farms are used in every batch and they constantly develop their seasonal espresso blends and single origin offers in line with the best crops from each season. The result? A really good cup of coffee! Open til late.
