Chucs Cafe

If you’d hoped to whisk your love away for a romantic trip on the Amalfi Coast, dinner at Chucs Cafe will ensure you ride out any waves of disappointment. A relative new arrival to Chelsea (it opened last November) the interior is designed like an opulent yacht: blond wooden panelling, perfectly polished brass rails and vintage prints of Amalfi & the Cinque Terre adorning the walls. Just around the corner from King’s Road, on Chelsea’s Lower Sloane Street, their Valentine’s menu is reasonably priced, at just £30 per head. It features cicchetti to share (comprising truffle arancini and chickpea panelle), followed by Dedham Vale ribeye with Cafe de Paris butter & french fries. If you don’t fancy it, you’re welcome to order from the A La Carte menu.

Kahani

Enjoy five courses for £80 (with a glass of Champagne Rosé) at Kahani this Valentine’s Day. Inspired by his upbringing in Chennai, chef Peter Joseph fuses traditional British cookery techniques with Indian flavours, so you can expect a culinary experience to remember. Meat eaters can choose from chicken or lamb, while vegetarians can dig into aubergine steak or paneer and peppers for their main course. Combined with delicately spiced starters (and gorgeous palette cleansers throughout the menu) this innovative selection will leave you pleasantly full.
