Ask Me: RIXO

Ask Me: RIXO

Next in our #AskMe Instagram campaign, we shared your questions with RIXO, King’s Road. VIP stylist, Nickie tells you all you need to know from day to night dressing and accessorising tips.

Are your dresses dry clean only?

YES. I recommend steaming in between wears to lessen the need for dry cleaning… more cost effective and better for the environment!

What should I wear to a country wedding this summer?

Ariel, June or Lucille.

I’m a RIXO lover but on a budget. What’s the key piece to buy this summer?

It has to be Saffron, so very RIXO, and will the hardest working dress in your wardrobe – endless possibilities!

How should I style my RIXO for daytime to nighttime?

It’s all about the shoes for me… trainers, boots or flats for daytime, then heels/flatforms or something strappy for nighttime. When it’s not so warm, light knits underneath or chunky sweaters over the top give so much extra mileage to your RIXO pieces. Come and have a styling session in store and I can show you all the options!

How can I start wearing more colour?

If you’re nervous about colour, accessories can be a great place to start – a bright handbag, a scarf, little pops of colour to get you used to it. If you wardrobe is largely black/navy, then scarves are often an excellent way to introduce colour and then once you feel comfortable, you can add more over time. Again, in store styling sessions can show you how to incorporate colour and pattern into your everyday wardrobe.

What’s your favourite style tip when accessorising?

Scarves, the most versatile accessory going – wear them on your head, as a headband, a headscarf, tie around a ponytail, around your neck, drape over your shoulders, wear as a top tied at the back, tie around your waist, around the handle of your handbag – the possibilities are literally endless, always the easiest way to chic up ANY outfit.
