IWD 2021: Designer’s Guild

Tricia Guild OBE has been at the helm of the British interiors scene for nearly half a century. An incredible woman with an eye for the extraordinary, she set up design institution, Designers Guild on the King’s Road – now global, in 1970. Celebrating International Women’s Day, we were thrilled to have Tricia share her proudest achievements and, inspired by this year’s theme “Choose to Change”, changes that most excite her.

What achievements are you most proud of as a woman?

I am proud of Designer’s Guild and especially the sense of teamwork that is so much a part of our brand. Our team are the best and I am extremely proud of all of them.

What change do you seek through your designs and creations?

I always hope that people will be inspired and look to be more creative and artistic in their lives through working with us and our collections.

What are the most inspiring changes that you have seen on the King’s Road?

The King’s Road is our home and we welcome all our new retail visitors and friends, and of course our shoppers. It’s an iconic street with character and personality – always something interesting to find or see on the King’s Road.
